Kansas State University’s Veterinary Health Center in Manhattan, KS seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support equine, livestock and field service teams, entering EMR data and assisting with treatments under the supervision of a DVM. Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in large animal handling and hospital setting is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and master new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to equine, livestock and field service teams.
• Coordinate animal treatments and diagnostics under the supervision of a DVM.
• Enter patient information into the electronic medical records system.
• Stock and ensure cleanliness of the large animal barn.
• Monitor fourth-year veterinary students during clinical duties.
