Job summary

Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a clinical track assistant professor in large animal emergency surgery to join the John Thomas Vaughan Large Animal Teaching Hospital. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment.

The role includes after-hours emergency service, teaching residents and DVM students, and providing clinical service in the equine and/or food animal hospitals with opportunities for collaborative research.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• ACVS-LA or ECVS board certification or ACVECC with surgical training may be considered.
• Eligibility for Alabama veterinary licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in teaching and clinical service in large animal emergency surgery.
• Provide after-hours emergency clinical service and train residents, interns, and DVM students.
• Collaborate across equine and food animal services with opportunities for scholarship.
