Job summary

P & K Midwest in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Large Ag Equipment Service Technician to perform diagnostics, service, and maintenance on agricultural equipment. The role may require guidance from the Service Manager and requires clear communication across locations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing basic issues, performing repairs, maintaining tools and knowledge of John Deere and competitors, completing reports, and participating in training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic software and internet applications.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostics and determine needed repairs.
• Carry out basic repairs as directed by supervisor.
• Participate in job-related training and development.
• Prepare reports and forms for work assignments.
• Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
