Job summary

Google is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Laptops and Tablets Platform Enablement Hardware team in San Jose, CA. You will help design and bring-up high-performance hardware, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable devices at scale.

You will own details from schematic capture through validation, work with external partners, and contribute to mass-volume production readiness. The role emphasizes innovation, performance, and efficient collaboration across platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical/computer engineering or physics.
• 2 years in consumer electronics hardware development, or 1 year with advanced degree.
• 2 years in a technical environment, or 1 year with advanced degree.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, digital and analog circuit design.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional validation planning and hardware design reviews.
• Perform platform bring-up, hardware validation, and performance characterization.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze failures to unblock development.
• Collaborate with external partners to streamline development pipelines.
• Document hardware design, implementation, and test results throughout the life cycle.
