Job summary

CNSS • National Security Systems is seeking linguists to support NSA's SIGINT mission. The role involves performing language analysis, translation, and transcription for policymakers and military leaders, with potential entry into the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct analytic positions.

Qualified applicants have ILR 2/2 language proficiency and at least one year in related language work or relevant fields.

Qualifications

• Minimum language proficiency: ILR level 2/2 reading and listening in target language.
• At least one year of relevant experience in translation, transcription, or analysis; or non-language work related to intelligence, security studies, or cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information for policymakers.
• Research other cultures and geopolitical contexts relevant to NSA SIGINT missions.
• Apply new techniques to synthesize large data sets from disparate sources.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights for the IC.
• Collaborate with NSA colleagues and IC partners in research, analysis, and reporting.
