Job summary

CNSS • National Security Systems seeks a Linguist Analyst to analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials for NSA SIGINT. The role supports the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct-hire into analytic offices, with rotations across operations and training.

Strong ILR proficiency and diverse analytical skills are required. The LADP lasts up to three years, with multiple operational tours and formal training.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR Level 2/2 in reading and listening for target language.
• At least 1 year of relevant language or non-language work in related fields.
• Entry: high school diploma/GED +4 yrs, or assoc. degree +2 yrs, or bachelor’s +0 yrs; seniority levels require more experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information for policymakers and leaders.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts relevant to NSA SIGINT.
• Synthesize large data sets and disparate sources to provide insights.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights for intelligence.
• Work independently and with teams across NSA and IC.
