Job summary

National Security Agency (NSA) seeks multilingual MDLAs to perform language analysis, transcription, and translation supporting SIGINT missions across multiple offices and tours.

Eligible candidates may enter the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or be hired directly into analytic missions. The role emphasizes problem solving, cross-office collaboration, and ongoing training to build core competencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum language proficiency of ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for target language.
• At least one year of relevant experience related to language work or analytic fields.
• Entry/developmental paths require specified combinations of education and experience.
• Senior levels require extended language and analytic experience; leadership may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials for SIGINT mission.
• Engage with partners and customers across the Intelligence Community to inform decisions.
• Rotate through LADP or direct hire into analytic offices for development.
• Demonstrate continuous learning and contribute to analytic reports and assessments.
• Lead or mentor others as part of language analysis teams.
