Job summary

NSA is seeking a Linguist (MDLA) to contribute to the SIGINT mission through language analysis, transcription, and translation. The role includes research into cultures, synthesis of large data sets, and producing written assessments for policymakers and military leaders.

LADP offers up to three years of intensive training with multiple operational tours designed to develop advanced analytic skills in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in the target language at ILR 2/2 is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 reading and listening in the target language.
• Experience in translation, transcription, or language analysis.
• Formal or informal leadership experience may be required for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Offer policymakers and leaders insights by analyzing, transcribing, and translating key information.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts to inform analysis.
• Develop creative solutions to synthesise large data sets from multiple sources.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights for NSA missions.
• Collaborate across NSA and the Intelligence Community in research and reporting.
