Job summary

NSA/CSS is seeking linguists (MDLAs) to support SIGINT missions through language analysis, transcription, and translation. The role involves engaging with partners across the Intelligence Community and may lead to LADP participation or direct hire into analytic offices.

The program (LADP) lasts up to three years with multiple operational tours and intensive training, emphasizing foreign language materials within SIGINT analysis and development.

Qualifications

• ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening in the target language.
• At least one year of relevant experience in language work or related fields (e.g., analysis, intelligence, cybersecurity).
• Entry: HS diploma/GED +4 years, Associate +2 years, or Bachelor’s +0 years; Full Performance: HS +7 years, etc.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information for policymakers and military leaders.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts.
• Apply new techniques to address analytic problems with large data sets.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft written and oral assessments for insights.
