Job summary

CNSS • National Security Systems in the United States is seeking a linguist to support NSA SIGINT missions through language analysis, transcription, and translation. The role may feed into the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire, with tours across offices to gain specialized skills.

The position requires ILR level 2/2 reading/listening in the target language, plus relevant experience in language work or related fields.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• Relevant experience in translation, transcription, or related language work.
• Experience in intelligence-related field or STEM topics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information for policymakers.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts related to language materials.
• Apply techniques to synthesize large data volumes from disparate sources.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft assessments with unique insights for IC customers.
• Work independently and with NSA and IC partners on research and reporting.
