NYC Public Schools is seeking a Language Access Engagement Liaison to strengthen relations with school-based Language Access Coordinators and district offices. You will guide staff on language access processes, help develop translation and interpretation for CEP, and deliver customized training.

The role reports to Language Access Integration Specialist and requires a high school diploma with several years in community work; experience with LEP families and public speaking is preferred.

Competenze

• Three years of experience in community work or related duties.
• Public speaking and training experience preferred.
• Experience supporting LEP families and language access efforts.

Mansioni

• Serve as the primary contact for Language Access Coordinators and district staff.
• Coordinate and deliver language access training to NYCPS staff.
• Assist in developing translations and interpretations for CEP.
• Advise on LAC designations and SAM translation funds expenditures.
• Create reports to assess district and school language access proficiency.
• Support escalation management by assessing language preferences and staff skills.
