Uncommon Schools seeks an English as a New Language Specialist who advocates for diverse English Learners and supports General Education colleagues. You will deliver targeted interventions, analyze student progress, and work with families to ensure access to curriculum and opportunities for growth.

• 1–2 years experience preferred in urban K-12 settings.
• Academic expertise in ENL instruction or related fields.
• Demonstrated commitment to social-emotional and academic student development.

Responsibilities

• Review intake assessments and tailor services to English learners.
• Provide small group instruction for entering and emerging English Learners.
• Push-in support for ELLs across grades and content areas.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accommodations.
• Engage families to address questions on student progress and needs.
• Use assessment data to differentiate curriculum and instruction.
