Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. seeks an experienced Inland Execution leader to drive flawless execution across the inland network in a fast-growing market. You will oversee cost drivers, liaise with internal teams, and promote efficient, resilient supply chain solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in container logistics, strong analytical skills, and the ability to engage stakeholders to deliver improvements and cost savings.

You will also further learn and understand the core components of Inland Execution, along with:

• Terminal operations and Cost drivers
• Total Cost of ownership principles
• An opportunity to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, manage costs, and encourage innovative ways of working for enhancing efficiency.

Key responsibilities :

• Responsible for ensuring flawless execution as per the customer requirements, agreed processes, and procedures.
• Ensure proper implementation of the India Inland strategy and Cross Border Strategy in coordination with the Product team.
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize inland execution setup and recommend improvements.
• Manage intermodal contingencies in coordination with vendors and the Execution Control Tower.
• Assist the commercial desks in promoting inland solutions as a lever to grow revenue.
• Drive cost leadership for all the services procured in the region in coordination with Procurement teams.
• Ensure that the joint cost savings plans for the region is achieved.
• Manage the vendors in the region to ensure service delivery as per the agreed parameters.
• Ensure that the equipment turnaround is optimized with close focus on longstanding equipment.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to identify and establish opportunities for cost reduction with focus on improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
• Handle transactional cost control, ensure and push for full compliance with the guiding principles and excellence in accuracy, in co-operation and co-ordination with concerned parties, including the Global Shared Service Centre.
• Improve the process to support future needs for inland operations.

We are looking for:

• Master's degree holder.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the container business.
• Solid analytical skills and a strong sense of detail, plus the ability to use both in a very complex environment and on a significant cost base.
• Sense of urgency, result-oriented, and with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to gain respect and confidence from internal and external stakeholders; and use this to advocate the priorities in business and thereby drive improvements.
• Strong competency to understand commercial drivers and therewith transforming operational and/or technical aspects of the business to customer value

Pay Range:

$80,000 - $110,000*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
