Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is hiring a Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily operations, shipments, and delivery execution. You will supervise on-site staff, coordinate dispatches, and ensure service levels across customers and vendors.

The role requires 5+ years in logistics, a Bachelor's degree preferred, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Some remote work may occur; this is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience supervising hourly on-site staff and conducting performance reviews.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills; manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relations with vendors, stores and independent contractors.
• Ensure follow up on shipping discrepancies and damage claims.
• Dispatch trucks using GPS technology and oversee in-home delivery.
• Maintain monthly operating reports and supervise Customer Service staff.
• Train employees and manage day-to-day operations per company policies.

Essential Functions:

• Develops and maintains relations with vendors, stores, independent contractors.
• Ensures follow up on shipping discrepancies, damaged goods and in-home damage claims.
• Dispatches trucks using GPS technology.
• Oversees in-home delivery for customers.
• Maintains monthly operating reports that include statistics and customer service scores.
• Oversees Customer Service Representatives and Routers.
• Attendance and Punctuality are essential functions of the job
• Directly supervises hourly on-site staff who handle day-to-day operations in data entry, customer service, order processing and delivery.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and providing direction employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education & Experience:

Physical Requirements:

This is a clerical administrative position in a professional office setting. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, stoop, bend, and reach. Extensive use of a phone and a PC is required. Position may require working remotely at times.

Pay Range:

$65,000-$70,000*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
