Lewis Property Services in Orlando, FL is seeking a Landscape Production Manager to lead landscape, hardscape, and irrigation projects. You will supervise crews, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and keep multiple jobs on schedule and within budget.

The role requires 3+ years of landscape construction experience, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety and training. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3+ years prior experience in landscape, hardscape and irrigation construction.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean history.
• Successful Background Check

Responsibilities

• Inform and update the Vice President on job progress.
• Coordinate with Crew Leaders on job progress.
• Oversee the production of several jobs simultaneously.
• Keep jobs on schedule and on budget.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and report unsafe conditions.
• Document and report all accidents.
• Interface with subcontractors to complete their phase on time.
• Interface with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Meet production standards for all projects.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and properly.
• Maintain and PM equipment daily.
• Evaluate equipment usage and make purchase recommendations.
• Analyze and share job cost reports with Crew Leaders.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Contribute to production-related parts of the strategic plan and annual budgets.
• Develop training plans and train field crews.
• Evaluate performance of crew leaders and members.

Primary Accountability

The Landscape Production Manager must be thoroughly familiar with and able to perform all aspects of landscape, hardscape, and irrigation construction to include: estimating, production, scheduling, customer service, training, etc. The Landscape Production Manager directly oversees Crew Leaders and the installation of landscape, hardscape, and irrigation projects on a daily basis while interfacing with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Landscape Production Manager must keep the Department Manager apprised of progress (or lack thereof) on all jobs while coordinating with the Department Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Continually informs and updates company Vice President as to job progress (or lack thereof).
• Continually coordinates with company Crew Leaders as to job progress (or lack thereof).
• Oversees the production of several jobs simultaneously.
• Ensures that jobs are kept on schedule and on budget.
• Ensures that all safety procedures are followed and reports any unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Ensures all accidents are properly documented and reported immediately.
• Interfaces with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate completion of their phase of
• projects.
• Interfaces with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of job materials.
• Ensures that company production standards are met.
• Ensures that all equipment is operated in a safe and proper manner.
• Ensures that all equipment is maintained properly and preventatively maintained (PMd) daily.
• Evaluates equipment utilization and recommends future purchases to Vice President.
• Ensures that job cost reports are properly analyzed and disseminated to Crew Leaders.
• Thoroughly understands and complies with company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Assists in the development and implementation of the production part of company’s strategic plan.
• Assists in the development, implementation, and achievement of company’s annual budget goals.
• Assists in the development and implementation of the production part of company’s training goals.
• Develops training plan and trains field crews.
• Evaluates performance of crew leaders and crew members.
• Is a high-energy individual capable of supervising crews doing landscape, hardscape, and irrigation construction.
• Is organized in all areas (personal office space, field operations, company yard space, job sites, etc.).
• Leads by example.
• Presents himself or herself in a professional manner.
• Initiates action when needed.
• Is self-motivated.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 3+ years prior experience in landscape, hardscape and irrigation construction.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in severe weather conditions both hot and cold.
• Ability to stand and exert physical effort performing manual labor 50-70% of the time.
• Able to tolerate exposure to moderate noise levels.
