Job summary

CW Resources is seeking a hands-on Landscaping Lead at Newport Naval Station, RI. You will guide and train the crew while performing high-quality landscape work, from mowing to planting and maintenance.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in landscaping, operate mowers/trimmers/blowers, and hold a valid RealID with base access eligibility. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and dependable task management in an outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related outdoor work.
• Experience using landscaping tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Basic understanding of basic landscaping practices and equipment use.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid RealID
• Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside team members to complete landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and general grounds maintenance.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to help team members learn proper techniques and complete work correctly.
• Help organize daily tasks and keep work on track throughout the day.
• Show team members how to safely use tools and equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Check the quality of work and offer support to ensure standards are met.
• Answer questions and assist team members with day-to-day work activities.
• Help keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good condition.
• Communicate with team members and leadership about progress and any issues that come up.
• Support new employees by helping them learn the job through on-the-job training.
