Job description

This position requires a Driver's license and may require a Commercial driver's license (Chauffeur's license/For Hire License).

The starting or minimum rate of pay for this role is $17 per hour and will increase based on related work experience and certifications/licenses you have.

Here’s what you’d do:

The Landscape Truck Driver will be responsible for providing landscape maintenance support to various properties. This role involves safely operating commercial landscaping equipment and maintaining plant materials and other landscaping elements.

Responsibilities include:

1. Prepare Landscape Trucks for the day:
   • Load gas cans, mowers, and other equipment onto trucks/trailers.
   • Secure all equipment onto trucks/trailers.
   • Maintain and correctly use issued personal protective equipment.
   • Safely operate vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws.
2. Perform maintenance on properties:
   • Operate equipment safely with PPE.
   • Mow turf, edge grass, blow leaves, prune shrubs and trees, clear debris, pull weeds, and clean sites.
3. Plantings and Flower Installation:
   • Prepare soil, plant materials properly, apply mulch, water, and edge beds.
4. Maintain equipment:
   • Unload, wash, change blades/oil, clean filters, grease, and conduct EDVIR on vehicles.
5. Other duties as assigned, including heavy lifting, operating hand and power tools, walking long distances, and spraying pesticides/herbicides.

You might be a good fit if you have:

• Valid Driver’s license.
• Experience in lawn care helpful.
• Ability to operate lawn machinery and vehicles with or without trailers.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and outdoor conditions for extended hours.
