Position Summary:

Freestone Lake and Golf is one of our new developments, and we are growing! We are looking for a Landscaper to maintain the grounds of our club. This position is key to maintaining a magnificent visual appeal to our members and guests.

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate landscape machinery.
• Ability to operate various vehicles (gas, diesel, electric).
• Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment and operate in a safe, professional manner at all times.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts longer than eight hours.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, lifting and carrying items sometimes over 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

Essential Functions:

• Mow lawns using push rotary, reel, and riding mowers.
• Operate string trimmers and grass edgers.
• Maintain traffic stakes, mulch (wood chips), and aggregate (cinder, gravel, rocks).
• Operate all landscape-related equipment following protocols and report issues immediately.
• Report irrigation issues to supervisor.
• Assist landscape mechanic, irrigator, and pesticide controller as needed.
• Hand watering and fertilizing lawns, landscapes, and nurseries.
• Spot spraying weeds as necessary.
• Empty trashcans at beach parks and maintenance areas.
• Hand weed, top dress, and move traffic stakes on turf areas.
• Use blowers to clean paths, parking, and clubhouse areas.
• Collect trash, leaves, debris, and tree limbs.
• Assist with landscape construction and storm cleanup.
• Maintain beach showers and small water features.
• Maintain potted plants indoors and outdoors.
• Participate in shop cleanup, landscape setup, and debris removal.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and properly store tools and equipment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events and move furniture as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned and report on time.
