Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a dedicated landscaper/groundskeeper to maintain landscaping and surrounding public areas at our Louisiana facilities. The role involves operating lawn and ground maintenance equipment, applying fertilizers and pesticides, planting and maintaining greenery, and keeping driveways and walkways clean and safe.

The candidate should have a high school diploma (preferred) and 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic knowledge of equipment and safety standards.
• Must be able to perform duties in weather exposure (heat, cold, inclement weather).
• Must be able to obtain/maintain necessary certifications and/or licenses.

Job Description

Maintain landscaping and the surrounding public areas.

Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance as prescribed or assigned.

• Install, repair, and perform periodic maintenance to sprinkler and irrigation systems.
• Safely and effectively operate lawn mower, weed trimmer, edger, chainsaw,power trimmer, and other equipment used in lawn and ground maintenance.
• Safely and properly apply chemicals including but not limited to fertilizers,herbicides, and pesticides.
• Plant grass, trees, flowers, and shrubs using gardening tools.
• Maintain driveways, parking lots, and walkways by removing debris, litter,snow and/or ice.
• Assist with basic maintenance to equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• One (1) year of prior experience as a landscaper or groundskeeper preferred.
• Must possess basic knowledge of necessary equipment and the appropriatesafety standards.
• Must be able to perform duties in direct exposure to the weather which mayinclude periods of extreme heat, cold, or inclement weather.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
