Applied Medical is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper to maintain our campus landscape in California. You will care for flower beds, lawns, and trees, operating mowers, trimmers, and other power tools while following ISA pruning standards.

Minimum 2+ years experience in landscaping is required. A valid California driver’s license is essential. We offer comprehensive benefits, mentorship, and a supportive work environment on site.

• Minimum of 2+ years experience as Nurseryman, Groundskeeper, Irrigation Specialist, Landscaper or similar.
• Strong desire to create and maintain an aesthetically pleasing landscape environment for team members.
• Experience using power tools such as saws, trimmers, shovels, and rakes.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record.

Position Description

• Care for established landscapes by mulching, aerating, weeding, and trimming flower beds, walkways, and walls
• Operate power equipment mowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, and vehicles
• Maintain indoor and outdoor plants and trees
• Utilize proper International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) pruning standards on shrubs and trees
• Clean debris and trash within the Applied Medical property and landscape
• Maintain all landscape tools and equipment to ensure proper working order
• Inspect tools before and after each use and clean them on a regular basis
• Mix, spray, and spread fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides, as needed
• Understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and follow label instructions
• Maintain irrigation systems by documenting and reporting areas needing attention
• Report any concerns about plants and trees in the landscape
• Upkeep of facility sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years experience working as a Nurseryman, Groundskeeper, Irrigation Specialist, Landscaper, or similar
• Strong desire to create and maintain an aesthetically pleasing landscape environment for Team Members to enjoy
• Experienced in the use of power tools, such as saws, trimmers, shovels, and rakes
• Proven track record of good work ethic
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record
