Job summary

Applied Medical Corporation seeks a landscapes and groundskeeper to maintain outdoor spaces on site. You will mulch, weed, trim and care for beds and grounds, operating mowers, trimmers, and other equipment to keep the property well groomed.

You will also maintain irrigation and plant health, follow ISA standards, and ensure tools are kept in good condition. A valid CA driver’s license and a strong work ethic are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in nursery/groundskeeping or related fields.
• Desire to create and maintain aesthetically pleasing landscapes.
• Experience with power tools (saws, trimmers, shovels, rakes).
• Proven strong work ethic and reliability.
• Valid California driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Care for established landscapes: mulching, aerating, weeding, trimming flower beds and walls.
• Operate power equipment: mowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, vehicles.
• Maintain indoor and outdoor plants and trees; follow ISA pruning standards.

Position Description

As a Landscaper and Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

• Care for established landscapes by mulching, aerating, weeding, and trimming flower beds, walkways, and walls
• Operate power equipment mowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, and vehicles
• Maintainindoor and outdoor plants and trees
• Utilize proper International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) pruning standards on shrubs and trees
• Clean debris and trash within the Applied Medical property and landscape
• Maintain all landscape tools and equipment to ensure proper working order
• Inspect tools before and after each use and clean them on a regular basis
• Mix, spray, and spread fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides, as needed
• Understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and follow label instructions
• Maintain irrigation systems by documenting and reporting areas needing attention
• Report any concerns about plants and trees in the landscape
• Upkeep of facility sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

• Minimum of 2+ years experience working as a Nurseryman, Groundskeeper, Irrigation Specialist, Landscaper, or similar
• Strong desire to create and maintain an aesthetically pleasing landscape environment for Team Members to enjoy
• Experienced in the use of power tools, such as saws, trimmers, shovels, and rakes
• Proven track record of good work ethic
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record
