Job summary

Classic Landscaping + Nursery is seeking a seasoned design-build landscape professional to lead residential projects from concept to final walkthrough in the Seattle Eastside region. You design, price, and manage budgets, coordinating with in-house crews and clients to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.

This on-site role requires strong horticultural knowledge, driver’s license, and a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, estimating and managing residential design-build landscape projects.
• Strong horticultural knowledge — Pacific Northwest plant material, siting, soils, establishment
• A degree in landscape design, landscape architecture or horticulture preferred
• Comfortable pricing your own work
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Lead residential design-build projects from design through final walkthrough.
• Prepare estimates and pricing for own work.
• Coordinate with in-house crews and yard facilities.
• Maintain project schedule and client communication on-site in the Kirkland area.

The job

If you can design a landscape, price it, and stand behind the number, we should talk.

You'd run residential design-build projects start to finish: your design, your estimate, your budget, your client, first meeting through final walkthrough. Nobody hands you a number for a client they've never met, and you don't hand your project to a PM who wasn't in the room when it sold. Figure on about $1.5M in annual sales — and you write the change orders that keep it profitable.

Who you'd work with

We design and build across the Eastside: Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Woodinville, Bothell, Kenmore, Sammamish, Seattle and Mercer Island. Our install crews are in-house, and they work out of the same Kirkland yard you would. Four other estimator/designers are here, each running their own projects and their own consults.

Our maintenance division keeps a lot of what we build, so three years from now you can drive past a job and see it the way you drew it. That doesn't happen as often in this business as it should.

The day

Some office, some field. Full-time and on-site — not remote, not hybrid. Crews start at 7:00, and most days you'd be at the yard for the open and the close. That's when the useful conversations happen, and it's how jobs stay on schedule.
