Role Description

The Landscape Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Greater Fort Wayne. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing lawn care such as labor, trimming, edging, and clean-up, as well as assisting with planting, mulching, and basic landscape installation. The role involves operating and maintaining landscaping equipment, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring work areas are safe and organized. Landscape Technicians will work outdoors in varying weather conditions, follow job plans and instructions from supervisors, and interact professionally with clients and team members. This position may require occasional seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow-related support, and other property maintenance duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical outdoor work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of lawn care and landscape maintenance practices, or willingness to learn.
• Comfort using hand tools and powered landscaping equipment, with a focus on safety.
• Strong reliability, time management, and attention to detail in completing assigned tasks.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to job sites in the Greater Fort Wayne area.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior landscaping or groundskeeping experience is a plus but not required.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and company guidelines in all work activities.
