Job summary

The Village Dallas is seeking a reliable Landscape Laborer to join our outdoor maintenance team in Dallas, TX. You will perform landscaping and irrigation tasks using hand and power tools, plant and water landscapes, and install sprinkler systems.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools used in landscaping.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and their installation/maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with team members.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand and power tools to complete landscape and irrigation duties.
• Lay sod, plant trees, shrubs, and flowers according to design plans.
• Water plants using irrigation methods to ensure proper hydration.
• Fertilize plants and apply insecticides as needed for healthy growth.
• Prepare soil and ensure proper drainage for planting.
• Transplant trees, shrubs, and flowers to optimize layout.
• Control weeds by pulling or applying herbicides as appropriate.
• Install, maintain, and repair sprinkler systems for proper watering.
• Assist with pruning, mowing, and edging for landscape upkeep.
