Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is hiring a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance for various properties. You will operate mowers, edgers, and blowers, prune plants, and plant and care for flowerbeds.

The role emphasizes safe equipment use and cooperative work with teammates to ensure high standards across sites. The position requires basic horticultural knowledge, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and adherence to safety protocols in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment (power saws, cutters).
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf with power mowers and trim/edge with gas-powered edger/trimmer and blower.
• Prune shrubs and small trees as needed for shape and health.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger/line trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
• Maintain cleanliness by picking up trash and blowing leaves.
• Mulch leaves/organic matter during mowing.
• Weed by hand or with a hoe.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure safe removal of debris and proper disposal.
• Maintain courteous, responsive conduct with guests and customers.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
