Job summary

Collier County is seeking a dedicated grounds maintenance worker to perform a wide range of landscaping and park maintenance tasks at county facilities and ball fields. You will help keep grounds safe, clean, and well‑maintained to support community spaces.

You will operate a variety of machinery, assist with irrigation and planting, and participate in daily maintenance activities with the team. This role requires safety focus and reliable attendance in Naples, FL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two months of related experience preferred.
• Fingerprinting required.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with endorsements is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds maintenance tasks: mowing, edging, planting, watering, weeding, trimming, and debris removal.
• Maintain parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities.
• Operate machinery and equipment used in division projects.
• Transport, load, and unload equipment and materials to work sites.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and request replacements.
• Follow safety procedures and use safety equipment.
• Perform general cleaning/maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Transports crew workers to/from work sites.
• Perform other related duties as required.
