Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance across commercial, industrial, and public properties. You will perform basic tasks under supervision and help operate commercial-grade equipment to keep outdoor spaces healthy and attractive.

This role emphasizes safe work practices, maintenance of plant materials, and a courteous, guest-focused demeanor while on site. It is a full-time, on-site position in Agoura Hills, CA with a comprehensive benefits package and

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Enthusiastic and dependable
• Ability to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower)
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices

Responsibilities

• Cut turf with power mowers and trim/edge with gas-powered tools
• Prune shrubs and low trees to maintain shape or remove damaged branches
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds
• Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, beds, trees, buildings
• Pick up trash and blow leaves onto turf before mowing
• Mulch leaves and organic matter after mowing
• Weed by hand or with a hoe
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment
• Remove trash, dead plants, and suckers from landscape
• Maintain a polite, friendly demeanor with guests and customers
• Report unsafe conditions to the Crew Leader
