One year of experience in the maintenance, or operation of commercial-sized landscape equipment, including tractors and riding mowers. One year experience in landscape maintenance or construction. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, office staff, and the university community. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently. Demonstrated stable work history and work ethic. Punctual attendance and available for work. Ability to pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs. Capable of working in all types of adverse conditions (weather, dust, noise, heights, fumes, etc.). Class C driver's license is required. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident. *Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.*## Preferred QualificationsDegree or trade-specific licensure or certification. More than one year of experience in landscape maintenance, construction, repair, or operation of commercial landscape equipment (to include riding mowers, tractors, loaders, and sweepers) in a commercial or institutional setting. More than two years' experience in landscape maintenance or construction. ## Driving RequiredThis job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
