Job description

The position of Landscape Crew Member is open within our landscape maintenance division located in North Charleston, SC.

The ideal candidate is an energetic and motivated individual with high-quality standards. This role reports directly to the Crew Leader and the expected work hours are Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays and Saturdays (as needed) beginning at 6:30 am.

STATUS: Hourly, Full time
LOCATION: North Charleston, SC
REPORTS TO: Crew Leader
PAY: $17-19/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all job-related tasks in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools, such as weed eaters, blowers, mowers, and trimmers.
• Perform assigned landscape maintenance tasks, such as mowing, edging, and pruning.
• Work to ensure quality and timely completion of all tasks assigned.
• Keep trucks and equipment clean and in working order.
• Report broken equipment to the Crew Leader.
• Participate in training certification programs, as needed.
• Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), keeping safety guards on equipment in place, using equipment safely, and looking out for others.
• Interact with coworkers, property managers, and the public in a friendly and polite manner.
• Assist with special individual or group projects as needed and other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in mowing, pruning, and landscape basics, preferred.

Skills & Abilities Qualifications:

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are a plus.
• Demonstrates dependability and commits to the required hours for job completion.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Physical & Environmental Considerations:

• Work outside in various weather conditions that may be hot, cold, wet, or turbulent.
• Work in environments with unusually loud noise levels, requiring hearing protection.
• Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
• Must understand and abide by all OSHA regulations, including wearing PPE.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods.
