Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a Landscape Services Technician to support the Facilities Management Department across multiple campuses, performing skilled landscape work and operating equipment to maintain the grounds and facilities.

The role requires two years of related experience, a Texas driver’s license, and the ability to work extended hours including nights/weekends. On-site with potential for hybrid work after six months per policy.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years related experience.
  • Ability to work extended hours beyond the regular 8:00 am to 5:00 pm workday including nights and weekends.
  • Current and valid Texas driver’s license required for offsite travel.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for landscaping and maintaining grounds using hand powered tools and/or equipment.
  • Performs tasks such as planting, trimming, sod laying, watering, and mowing to maintain college grounds.
  • Operates equipment for landscape maintenance including trimming, mowing, watering, pruning, and lawn care.
  • Plant and transplant trees, shrubs, and flowers; sod grass; plant seeds; pull weeds; spray fertilizer and insecticides.
  • Report equipment repair problems to the Facility Manager.
  • Picks up litter on campus and grounds.”
  • Ensures high quality landscaping across Dallas College locations and performs routine landscaping tasks.
  • Maintains assigned equipment and supports other facilities teams as needed.
