Job summary

Production Manager Landscape Construction

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Production Manager to oversee high-end landscape construction operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on landscape construction experience, and a passion for creating exceptional outdoor living spaces. This role will oversee the successful execution of complex landscape installations, including
luxury outdoor living spaces, custom pools, masonry, grading, and planting projects. The Production Manager will lead field teams, coordinate daily operations, maintain quality standards, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Strong English communication skills are required. Conversational Spanish is highly preferred to effectively communicate with diverse field crews.

• Supervise and coordinate daily landscape construction activities, with a strong focus on premium outdoor living spaces and custom pool installations.
• Build, lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of landscape construction professionals.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to field crews.
• Develop and implement construction schedules to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.
• Monitor project quality and ensure all work meets company standards and client expectations.
• Manage inventory of landscaping materials, supplies, and equipment to ensure job sites are properly prepared.
• Conduct regular job site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety, and overall project execution.
• Identify potential issues proactively and take appropriate action to keep projects on track.
• Collaborate directly with clients to understand their needs and help deliver tailored landscape and outdoor living solutions.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and field personnel to maintain efficient production.
• Perform basic field takeoffs and calculations as needed.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience

• Minimum 5 years of landscape construction experience as a Crew Leader or Foreman is strictly required.
• At least 2 years of Landscape Production Management experience is highly preferred.
• Proven experience leading field crews and managing complex landscape construction projects.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of landscape construction best practices, including:
  • Masonry
  • Grading
  • Plant installation
  • Outdoor living construction
  • Custom pool installation
• Proven ability to safely operate heavy equipment, including:
  • Excavators
  • Skid loaders
  • Front-end loaders

Driving & Licensing

• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be comfortable driving a truck and trailer.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• CDL is a major plus.

Communication

• Ability to read and write English is required.
• Strong verbal English communication skills are required.
• Conversational Spanish is strongly preferred for communication with field crews.

Physical & Administrative Requirements

• Ability to routinely lift and carry 50+ pounds throughout a 10-hour shift.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic takeoff calculations in the field.
• Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on landscape construction leader who understands what it takes to execute
high-end outdoor living and landscape projects from the field level. They should be comfortable managing crews, operating equipment, coordinating materials, maintaining quality and safety standards, and communicating effectively with both clients and team members.
Crew Leader/Foreman experience is essential, and candidates with strong production management experience in luxury landscape construction will be highly valued.
