Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking a landscape maintenance technician to uphold the appearance and condition of exterior grounds across Kohler properties. This full-time, year-round onsite role involves mowing, trimming, pruning, plant care, turf management, irrigation maintenance, and seasonal tasks, with shifts from 6:30 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m. You will lead seasonal staff, support guest experience, and assist with holiday lighting and winter snow operations.

Qualifications

• At least one year of landscape maintenance or groundskeeping experience.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain WDATCP Category 3.0 pesticide certification within six months.
• Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily landscape maintenance: mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, mulching, turf care, and seasonal cleanups.
• Monitor/repair irrigation systems and ensure efficient water distribution.
• Assist with planting, bed prep, seasonal decor, and holiday lighting installation.
• Provide daily direction to seasonal staff for safe, guest-focused service.
• Support year-round landscape operations, including winter snow and ice management.

Opportunity

The landscape maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep, appearance, and overall condition of assigned exterior grounds across Kohler Company properties. This role involves skilled hands-on landscape work, including mowing, trimming, pruning, plant care, turf management and installation, irrigation maintenance and repair, seasonal tasks, and assisting with holiday lighting installation while upholding high landscape standards, supporting an exceptional guest experience, and contributing to the aesthetic and environmental goals of Kohler Company.

This is a full-time, year-round position, with shifts varying between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Specific Responsibilities

• Perform daily landscape maintenance such as mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, mulching, turf care, turf installation, irrigation monitoring, and seasonal clean‑ups to maintain high-quality grounds and outdoor spaces.
• Perform routine irrigation system maintenance and repairs, including troubleshooting, adjusting heads, replacing components, and ensuring efficient water distribution.
• Assist with planting, bed preparation, landscape enhancements, and seasonal decor—including holiday lighting installation, maintenance, and removal that support Kohler’s design standards and elevate the guest experience.
• Provide guidance and daily direction to seasonal staff to ensure efficient work, safe practices, and positive interactions with guests.

Skills/Requirements

• At least one year of experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, or related outdoor maintenance work.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain WDATCP Category 3.0 Pesticide Applicator’s certification within six months.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work a flexible schedule, including periodic weekends, holiday lighting installation periods, and winter snow removal availability.‑removal availability.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Management, Horticulture, or related field preferred
• Experience operating commercial landscape equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles preferred
• Experience with turf care, turf installation, plant maintenance, seasonal landscape installation, irrigation system maintenance and repair, or holiday lighting setup preferred
