Job summary

Pulama Lanai is seeking a capable landscaper/groundskeeper to maintain and beautify parks and city grounds on Lanai. The role involves operating non-riding mowers, weed whackers, and assisting with irrigation hookups, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Union position with 1 opening and a pay rate of $17.78 per hour, non-exempt. Reports to Landscaping/Nursery Supervisors and Lead Workers. Join a team dedicated to island stewardship while meeting community standards.

Qualifications

• Previous Landscaping and/or Groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Relate to people in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow established procedures and maintain reliable attendance.
• Verbal communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Think quickly and make effective decisions.
• Build effective working relationships with employees.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Performs various basic tasks in upkeep and beautification of parks and city grounds.
• Operates non-riding mower in city areas, beach areas, and other areas as assigned.
• Uses weed whacker in areas inaccessible to mowing.
• Assists in general irrigation PVC hook-up.
• Adheres to safety and protects company property.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
