Job summary

BrightView Landscapes in Boston is seeking a Landscaper I to provide landscape maintenance support for a variety of properties. This role involves performing basic tasks under supervision and assisting with the safe operation of commercial landscaping equipment.

You will prune shrubs, plant and maintain flowerbeds, mulch leaves, and cut turf with mowers, while maintaining a polite, safe presence around guests and customers. Physical stamina is essential for outdoor work in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Ability to safely operate equipment such as power saws and cutters.
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge with edger/trimmer, operate blower.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to maintain shape and remove damaged branches.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger and trimmer along sidewalks and beds.
• Remove trash and debris; mulch leaves when mowing.
• Weed by hand or with a hoe.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
