Job summary

OC Fair & Event Center in Orange County, CA is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Worker to perform a wide range of grounds care tasks, including irrigation repair, plant watering, pruning, and lawn maintenance. The role may lead a crew of Fair workers and requires practical knowledge of landscape practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding grounds-keeping tasks.
• Must be able to operate landscape maintenance tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily tasks for the landscape team, including watering plants, repairing irrigation, and trimming plants.
• Repair irrigation systems and sprinklers consistent with water-conservation standards.
• Maintain flower beds by planting, weeding, and caring for lawns as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Apply pesticides and fertilize soils as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Operate a trencher and support electricians for underground utility work as needed.
