Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Landscape Maintenance Porter to join our facilities team for a high-profile commercial property in downtown Nashville. This position plays a key role in ensuring that the building's exterior grounds remain clean, inviting, and professionally maintained for tenants, clients, and guests in one of Nashville's busiest business districts.

Essential Duties

  • Maintain the cleanliness and visual appeal of exterior grounds, sidewalks, planters, building entrances, and parking areas.
  • Perform daily trash and debris removal from common areas, including around benches, planters, loading docks, and curbs.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain landscaped areas (weeding, trimming, leaf blowing, watering, etc.) to ensure they remain well-groomed and healthy.
  • Power wash walkways and entry points as needed, especially after high-traffic events or inclement weather.
  • Monitor and report any issues with irrigation systems, outdoor lighting, or exterior facility damage.
  • Assist in seasonal landscaping tasks such as planting flowers, spreading mulch, or managing snow/ice removal when needed.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and safely operated.
  • Provide excellent customer service and act as an onsite ambassador for the property when interacting with tenants and visitors.

Education, Knowledge And Experience

  • Prior experience in landscaping, janitorial, or groundskeeping roles preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with operating standard landscaping equipment (e.g., hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, pressure washers).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or early mornings as needed.
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
