Job summary

Caltrans seeks a Landscape Maintenance Leadworker in San Jose to plan, schedule, and perform highway maintenance. You will oversee field operations, respond to emergencies, and lead encampment cleanups and spills while maintaining records of labor and materials.

Requires QAC certificate, Class B CDL with Tank Vehicle endorsement, and willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for maintenance, encampment cleanup, dumps, and spills.
• Plan, schedule, and perform work under supervision; record labor and materials.
• Oversee safety, equipment use, and labor deployment; respond to emergencies.
• May assume supervisor duties in their absence and travel as needed.
