Job summary

Rotolo Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Area Manager to lead field operations across divisions, directing crews and equipment to optimize service efficiency while meeting safety and quality standards.

You will develop service plans, supervise scheduling, coordinate equipment, and liaise with Regional Managers to achieve budgets. A background in horticulture or turf management and 3–5 years supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Horticulture/Turf Management or a related field.
• 3-5 years related industry experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience.
• Experience in business management, including basic accounting skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, WorkMax, Sage.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Experience in both the landscape, irrigation, and horticulture industry.
• Know the basics of fertilizer and horticultural chemicals.
• Knowledge of plants, trees, palms, and shrubs.

Responsibilities

• Creating Service plans-Motion Maps per property to optimize efficiency.
• Managing landscape optimizations to improve efficiency.
• Managing Service plan execution in the field with crews daily.
• Scheduling and Workload crews to optimize routing density work scope.
• Organizing and planning equipment packages per crew.
• Ensuring work performed meets company service quality standards.
• Proactively communicating property issues, upcoming services, etc. to customers and Regional Managers.
• Responding promptly to customer-generated issues and manage appropriate resolution.
• Managing and directing daily dispatch.
• Coordinating equipment repairs between shop and field.
• Conducting weekly safety meetings with crews.
• Ensuring all work is completed in adherence to safety policies and guidelines.
• Directing and assisting Crew Supervisors daily.
• Working with Regional managers to meet or exceed property GM budgets.
• Investigating any accident or safety violation, preparing appropriate reports, taking action steps to correct and prevent future occurrences. Defining and implementing solutions to reoccurring accidents or most common hazards.
• Supervising employees, keeping attendance records, enforcing proper uniform and safety equipment use, and validating time for payroll.
