Job summary

BrightView Landscapes in Renton, WA is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance across industrial, commercial, and public properties. This role performs basic landscaping tasks under supervision, operates commercial equipment safely, and assists with plant material and landscape features.

Duties include mowing with power mowers, edging, pruning shrubs, planting flowerbeds, operating edger and line trimmer, debris removal, mulching, weeding, and basic equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Ability to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters.
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered tools, and operate a gas-powered blower.
• Prune shrubs and small trees to maintain shape and health.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger/line trimmer along sidewalks, beds, and structures.
• Remove trash and blow leaves; mulch leaves and organic matter.
• Weed by hand or with a hoe; perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Crew Leader; maintain a polite demeanor with guests.
