Job summary

City of Springdale, AR seeks a seasonal Landscape Technician to perform ongoing lawn and landscape maintenance under the Public Works Department. Duties include mowing, edging, weeding and planting under guidance, with occasional leadership of a small crew.

Must have 7–11 months of related experience or training and a valid Arkansas driver’s license; Master Gardener certification or equivalent is preferred. Background check required; mosquitoes maintenance also part of duties.

Qualifications

• Experience performing lawn maintenance and landscape upkeep.
• Must possess a valid Arkansas Driver's License.
• Master Gardener certification or equivalent training/experience preferred.
• Proficiency with work trucks, tools and maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform lawn mowing, trimming and edging.
• Operate brush hog and specialty mowing equipment.
• Weeding and watering of landscape areas.
• Plant landscape areas as directed; trim trees and shrubs.
• Act as crew leader for small landscape crew.
• Mosquito maintenance; perform other duties as required.
