Workers will perform watering of lawns, trees, plants, and landscaped areas using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, watering cans, and irrigation equipment to maintain plant health. Workers will apply fertilizers and soil amendments to lawns and plant beds to promote healthy growth and maintain turf quality. Workers will perform digging and raking to prepare soil for planting, remove debris, and maintain landscape beds. Workers may gather and remove litter, fallen branches, leaves, and other debris from properties using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedgers, bush trimmers, and axes. Workers may operate vehicles and powered equipment including mowers, tractors, twin‑axle vehicles, snowblowers, chain saws, electric clippers, and pruning saws. Workers may prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges using shears, pruners, and chainsaws to maintain plant health and aesthetic appearance. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The transportation payment or reimbursement amount will equal the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
