Job summary

bluevillenursery is seeking a Landscape Laborer to assist with loading/unloading landscape trucks, plant preparation, watering, mulching, and fertilizing under supervision.

You will help install features like rock walls, lighting, and ponds, and may perform basic irrigation tasks. This role requires physical labor, including lifting up to 80 lb and standing up to 8 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 80 lb and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading landscape trucks and ensure materials and equipment are ready as instructed by supervisor.
• Assist with preparing plants, fertilizing, mulching, and watering landscape plantings as instructed by supervisor.
• Assist with installing rock walls, landscape lighting, and pond/water features; may perform basic irrigation work as needed.
• Operate or assist with skid steers, rototillers, trenchers, chainsaws, sod cutters, brick saws, and other landscape equipment as instructed.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Supervises: not applicable

Responsibilities

• Assists with loading and unloading landscape trucks, ensuring proper materials, supplies and equipment are available as instructed by supervisor
• Assists with preparing plants, fertilizing, mulching, and watering all landscape plantings as instructed by supervisor
• Assists with installing rock walls, landscape lighting, and pond/water features as instructed by supervisor. May perform basic irrigation work as necessary.
• May operate skid steers, rototillers, trenchers, chainsaws, sod cutters, brick saws, and any other landscape equipment as instructed.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/ Experience

• Prefer previous landscaping experience, but not required
• Good driving record
