Steadfast Contractors Alliance is seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader / Foreman to supervise landscape maintenance crews while actively working alongside team members in the field. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with landscape maintenance experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety, customer service, and team development.

Position Summary

The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for supervising daily crew activities, coordinating job site operations, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining productive relationships with clients, residents, and property managers. This role serves as the primary field leader and is expected to lead by example while performing landscape installation and maintenance tasks alongside the crew.

Key Responsibilities

Crew Leadership & Operations

• Supervise and direct daily activities of landscape maintenance laborers.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.
• Assign tasks and provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to crew members.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and job site cleanliness.
• Analyze and resolve job site issues and assist crew members in solving work-related challenges.

Customer & Property Relations

• Serve as the primary on-site contact for residents, property managers, and customers.
• Communicate service needs, concerns, and project updates to management.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer experience at all times.

Landscape Maintenance & Installation

• Perform landscape maintenance and installation work alongside the crew.
• Install and remove plant material, sod, mulch, and landscape improvements.
• Operate landscape equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Complete assigned service requests and maintenance tasks.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce company safety policies and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Conduct daily safety awareness and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety requirements.
• Inspect equipment and ensure proper maintenance and safe operating conditions.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Florida Driver#39;s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Minimum 5 years of landscape maintenance, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or crew leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to use a smartphone for communication, scheduling, and reporting purposes.

Preferred

• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Experience working directly with HOA communities, apartment communities, commercial properties, or property management companies.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant material, and landscape best practices.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including Florida heat, humidity, rain, and sun exposure.

Employees must be able to:

• Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 100 pounds using proper safety procedures.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Safely operate landscape tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Climb ladders and navigate uneven terrain.
• Travel between multiple job sites as needed.
• Respond to job site and service-related needs in a timely manner.
