Steadfast Contractors Alliance is seeking an experiencedLandscape Maintenance Crew Leader / Foreman to supervise landscape maintenancecrews while actively working alongside team members in the field. This is ahands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are completedsafely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with landscapemaintenance experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment tosafety, customer service, and team development.
Position Summary
The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible forsupervising daily crew activities, coordinating job site operations, ensuringquality workmanship, and maintaining productive relationships with clients,residents, and property managers. This role serves as the primary field leaderand is expected to lead by example while performing landscape installation andmaintenance tasks alongside the crew.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership & Operations
- Superviseand direct daily activities of landscape maintenance laborers.
- Ensurework is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with companystandards.
- Assigntasks and provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to crew members.
- Monitorproductivity, quality, and job site cleanliness.
- Analyzeand resolve job site issues and assist crew members in solvingwork-related challenges.
Customer & Property Relations
- Serveas the primary on-site contact for residents, property managers, andcustomers.
- Communicateservice needs, concerns, and project updates to management.
- Maintaina professional appearance and positive customer experience at all times.
Landscape Maintenance & Installation
- Performlandscape maintenance and installation work alongside the crew.
- Installand remove plant material, sod, mulch, and landscape improvements.
- Operatelandscape equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Completeassigned service requests and maintenance tasks.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforcecompany safety policies and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment(PPE).
- Conductdaily safety awareness and ensure safe operation of equipment.
- Maintaincompliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety requirements.
- Inspectequipment and ensure proper maintenance and safe operating conditions.
Qualifications
Required
- ValidFlorida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Minimum5 years of landscape maintenance, landscaping, grounds maintenance, orrelated industry experience.
- Minimum2 years of supervisory or crew leadership experience.
- Strongleadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellentcommunication and interpersonal abilities.
- Abilityto manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strongattention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Abilityto use a smartphone for communication, scheduling, and reporting purposes.
Preferred
- BilingualEnglish and Spanish.
- Experienceworking directly with HOA communities, apartment communities, commercialproperties, or property management companies.
- Knowledgeof irrigation systems, plant material, and landscape best practices.
Physical Requirements
This position requires regular outdoor work in varyingweather conditions, including Florida heat, humidity, rain, and sun exposure.
Employees must be able to:
- Lift,push, pull, and carry up to 100 pounds using proper safety procedures.
- Stand,walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for extendedperiods.
- Safelyoperate landscape tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Climbladders and navigate uneven terrain.
- Travelbetween multiple job sites as needed.
- Respondto job site and service-related needs in a timely manner.
