We are looking for a full time Landscape Construction Technician & Truck Driver to be a part of our unique team and help execute our landscaping projects. Landscape Technicians build and install landscapes start to finish. Using machinery and hand tools to complete tasks related to landscape installation, Landscape technicians perform duties including but not limited to excavation, moving soil & materials, planting, masonry, carpentry, pruning, and irrigation/drainage. Landscape technicians report to the Crew Lead assigned for their project and are responsible for fulfilling duties outlined by the Crew Lead. You will be working directly with an installation crew of 3-4 people, plus our designer and project manager through certain phases of each project.

Our ideal hire will have 3+ years of experience driving large vehicles for contractors in Seattle, and have 2-5 years experience in landscape construction. Full abilities for hardscape installation (pavers, flagstones, rockeries, block walls), intermediate to advanced horticulture & plant ID for common landscaping plants and PNW native species, plus intermediate skills in any of the following: carpentry, metal work/welding, irrigation, landscape lighting, operating machinery, mechanics, or other supporting skills which would be of value to our team.

Job Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in landscape construction & related trades.
  • Comfortable driving a large dump truck on narrow streets (Ford F550, GVWR 16,000lbs)
  • Must be able to safely and comfortably lift a minimum of 80+lbs, and work full days outdoors in all conditions.
  • Values honesty, integrity, accountability, and quality of work.
  • Must always be alert and sober during work.
  • Able to follow verbal & written instructions and learn new skills when demonstrated.
  • Must be able to work a 10-hour day with a 30-minute lunch break plus two 10-minute breaks.
  • Current US drivers license.
  • Smart phone capable of using a time tracking/scheduling app.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Be on site and ready to work on time each scheduled day.
  • Landscape Technicians must wear a work uniform each day (sturdy shoes/boots, long pants, and reasonably clean company shirt/sweatshirt).
  • Perform duties related to building/installing landscapes, as outlined by the Crew Lead of the assigned project.
  • Remain on site and actively engaged in work duties for the full extent of scheduled shifts.
  • Report any concerns and ask questions to Crew Lead
  • Direct client inquiries to project Crew Lead or Project Manager.
  • Starts at $25-$30/hour depending on experience
  • 40hrs PTO/year (available after 90 day probationary period)
  • 1hr/40 hours worked sick leave accrual (available after 90 day probationary period)
  • 35-40 hours/week. 10hrs/day, 4 days/week (shorter days in winter)
  • Paid lunch
  • 50% company covered health insurance (available after 90 day probationary period)
