Job summary

Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Foreperson to lead our construction team. The role offers a consistent schedule with overtime, potential year-round employment, and benefits for full-time, year-round staff.

Compensation is based on experience. The ideal candidate has at least three years of landscape maintenance or construction experience, with the ability to lift heavy materials and mentor a small crew.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years landscape maintenance or construction experience.
• Able to lift heavy materials repeatedly.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish), but English-only or Spanish-only acceptable.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter with ownership of team’s work.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and lay out jobsites.
• Perform and supervise landscape construction including planting, mulching, pruning, and maintenance.
• Train, motivate and supervise 3-5 landscape laborers.
• Track material and labor use daily.
• Safely operate equipment (skid loader, mini-excavator, small engine equipment, trucks, trailers).
• Perform daily equipment maintenance (check fluids, etc.).

Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Foreperson to work with our construction team. We offer a consistent work schedule with paid overtime, the possibility of year-round employment, the possibility of a benefit package (for full-time, year-round) and the potential for performance-based bonuses. Compensation package is based on experience. NO WINTER PLOWING.

The ideal candidate is an upbeat, detail-oriented, highly motivated self-starter with a minimum of three years of landscape maintenance or construction experience, that takes pride and ownership of team’s work. Must be able to lift heavy materials repeatedly. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred, but English-only or Spanish-only skills are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and lay out jobsites
• Perform and supervise landscape construction - Tasks vary and may include (but not limited to): planting, mulching, pruning and maintenance
• Train, motivate and supervise 3-5 landscape laborers
• Track material and labor use on a daily basis
• Safely operate equipment (skid loader, mini-excavator, small engine equipment, trucks, trailers, etc)
• Perform daily equipment maintenance (check fluids, clean air filters, etc.)
