Job summary

Benchmark Companies is seeking an Installation Field Superintendent to lead our mulch installation division in the Orlando area. This frontline leadership role drives safety, quality, and productivity on daily field operations.

You will train crews, enforce safety, oversee staff development, and coordinate with administration and customer service to ensure client satisfaction. The ideal candidate has landscape experience, bilingual English/Spanish, a valid driver's license, and a track record of

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish.
• CDL preferred, but we will assist in achieving this license.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Must pass a drug and alcohol test.
• 5 years of landscape experience including 2 years in management preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to adapt to new software programs.
• Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently.
• Travel required in leading our regional crews.

• Ensure work is performed to the quality level expected by the company and demanded by our clients.
• Oversee training and development of installation staff.
• Identify and create performance improvement plans for struggling crew leaders and crew members.
• Ensure that no crew is dispatched without a clear scope of work and proper equipment.
• Challenge the established job plans periodically and continuously improve the plans.
• Perform pre-installation inspections for new jobs before the work begins.
• Identify low performing jobs and re-plan the work to improve performance.
• Act as a liaison between field operations and the administrative, customer service, and general management functions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

This position is the quintessential “leadership from the front” role for our mulch installation crews. We are looking for an energetic problem solver with significant experience in landscape operations.

An Installation Field Superintendent is a field management position that plays a critical role in driving and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity in our daily operations, but does so in a way that elevates and unifies our staff.
