Job summary

JBa Land Management LLC is actively seeking an experienced Landscape Field Production Supervisor to oversee daily landscape operations, field crews, scheduling, production, quality control and client communications at assigned properties. This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating crews while managing schedules, reporting and client expectations on a day-to-day basis.

  • Identify deficiencies and ensure corrections are completed promptly.
  • Maintain production schedules and help ensure labor is used efficiently.
  • Coordinate landscape maintenance, enhancements and other assigned services.
  • Communicate daily priorities clearly to crew leaders and employees.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding production, staffing, equipment, and property conditions.
  • Communicate professionally with designated client and representatives when required.
  • Maintain accurate field reports, production records and other required documentation.
  • Enforce safety standards and job-site procedures.
  • Ensure crews have equipment and materials required to complete scheduled work.
  • Help identify recurring operational problems and recommend solutions.
  • Hold crews accountable for attendance, performance, productivity and quality.

JBa Land Management is seeking an experienced Landscape Field Production Supervisor to oversee daily landscape operations, field crews, scheduling, production, quality control and communication at assigned properties.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands commercial landscape operations from the field up. The successful candidate must be comfortable working directly with crews while also managing schedules, people, reporting and client expectations.

The position requires a leader who can walk a property, recognize what needs to be done, organize the people and equipment required to do it, and make sure the work is completed correctly and on schedule.

** Key Responsibilities**

  • Direct and supervise daily field operations.
  • Manage and provide leadership to 20+ field employees.

** Preferred Qualifications**

  • Previous experience owning or managing a service or landscape business is a plus.
  • Irrigation license is preferred but not required.
  • Chemical applicator license is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with large commercial properties, airports, municipalities, corporate campuses or similarly complex properties is preferred.
  • Experience improving field productivity, crew accountability and operational systems is a plus.

** Leadership Expectations**

This position requires more than directing crews.

The Field Production Supervisor is expected to understand what is happening on the property, recognize problems before they become larger issues and take responsibility for getting them resolved.

The right person should be able to give clear direction, hold employees accountable, make sound decisions in the field and communicate problems to management without waiting until the end of the day.
