Job summary

BrightView Landscapes in Austin, TX is seeking an Estimator to review plans and prepare bid information for commercial landscape and irrigation projects. You will gather takeoff data, leverage measurement tech, and build accurate quotes to support winning bids.

The ideal candidate holds a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in estimating, and proficiency with estimating software and Salesforce. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Horticulture, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably in commercial landscaping or construction.
• Familiarity with estimating software; proficiency a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Customer service mindset and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
• Experience using CRM systems, particularly Salesforce
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Gather, calculate, and compile takeoff data for bid proposals.
• Leverage measurement technologies to produce efficient takeoffs.
• Use standard estimating software and CRM tools to build quotes.
• Develop estimates where standards are unavailable using historical data.
• Analyze bids, margins, and closure rates to shape winning strategies.
• Provide Operations with details for successful job start-ups with scope clarifications.
• Ensure estimates align with production capabilities and pricing strategy.
• Identify opportunities to streamline estimating processes and improve accuracy via data.
