Position Summary

The Landscape Designer is responsible for the planning, design, and development of outdoor spaces and related construction elements for residential, commercial, industrial, and governmental properties. This role requires a blend of creative design talent, technical skills, client relationship management, and sales expertise.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for landscapes, hardscapes, trellises, gazebos, fencing, driveways, and related outdoor features.
• Collaborate with clients to assess needs, preferences, and site‑specific requirements.
• Coordinate with internal divisions, architects, and contractors throughout the design and construction process.
• Analyze site conditions, including soil composition, drainage, vegetation, and existing structures to prepare environmental reports and design plans.
• Produce site plans, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and resolve on‑site challenges.
• Manage client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay current on trends in landscape architecture and Florida‑specific plant materials and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in landscape architecture and design.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the landscape industry.
• Strong knowledge of Florida‑native and Florida‑friendly plant material.
• Proficiency in landscape design software and CAD tools is preferred.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and client service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
